Baby Shower Diaper Game

I recently held a baby shower for my oldest daughter, Samantha, who is going to grace me with my first Grandchild on/or around July 8th. A little boy! For the shower we decided to play a few games. One I remember my Grandmother did for my baby shower was to make tiny cloth diapers and use them as lapel pins for each guest. Then at the end of the shower, you checked your tiny diaper to see which one had a little smear of chocolate or peanut butter. Who ever got the "poopy" diaper won a prize. They were adorable and I still have the one I wore 20 years ago when I was pregnant with Samantha.

Here is how I made ours:
I went through my fabric stash and found some white fabric. I got out my rotary cutter and a pile of safety pins.
First I cut my fabric into 2 inch strips.

Then Cut it again into 2 inch squares, we made 26 of these.

To fold the mini diaper place it on a diagonal.

Fold it in half to make a triangle.

Fold the tip of the triangle up to center and then fold each side into the middle and secure with a safety pin.

Ta Da! Tiny Diaper!

Here is Samantha wearing her little diaper pin. We did a game with a tiny baby in an ice cube and everyone ended up putting their little baby inside of their diaper. It was cute.
Our safety pins were very wimpy, so we ended up hot gluing a pin back fastener to the back of each tiny diaper so it could be worn. We smeared a tiny bit of peanut butter  on to 1 of the diapers and the guests thought they were just adorable. My little 6 year old daughter, Sophie, actually won the "Poopy" diaper and was just appalled until she got her prize. :)
We also made an adorable Diaper Cake and an blue and green bunting for the day, I will share those with you soon.
