31 Days of Paint #12 Video Crackle Paint With Elmers Glue

31 Days BB

Thank you for coming back to my 31 Days of Paint Series. If you would like to see it from the beginning just click HERE.

Have you ever considered using Crackle medium on furniture? We are all after that aged, distressed paint finish these days, a little crackle medium can assist with that. I think if I were to crackle a large piece of furniture, I would just crackle small areas of the piece. But these samples below show entire pieces of furniture crackled.

I love the colors in this sofa table. This was done using Behr Crackle Medium.

This bathroom cabinet is aged to perfection. I am not sure if this is a crackle paint. It looks like authentic age, don't you think?

The fine cracks in this table are my favorite. I like how they are not uniform. It is not difficult to achieve this look.

While we are on the subject of Crackle Mediums I discovered this YouTube video about using Elmer's Glue.

The young man who does this tutorial is wonderfully talented and just 17 years old. He has a blog called Scrappy Happiness check it out HERE.

What do you think about crackle medium? Is it out of style? Too 90s? Or could it work to add that vintage touch?
