31 Days of Paint #2

Welcome back to my 31 days of Paint series. I have been working hard compiling all of my material that I will be covering over the next 31 days. But first I thought I’d introduce myself to you, incase you are new.

Over the years I have painted so many things. Here are a few of my paint projects that I have featured on my blog over the years…

I have stencil painted pillows.

I have painted my stairs.

I have painted signs.

I have painted tons and tons of chairs
(I am starting to sound like Dr. Seuss here, sorry!)

Furniture has been my obsession the last few years but also frames and accessories such as vases, ceramic figurines and lamps. Yes, I will paint almost anything to get the look I want.

I started painting back in the 90s my painting choice back then was toile paint. You know the folk art style painting? I took several classes which lead to acrylics on canvas. I haven’t painted an actual painting in the last 10 years and plan to paint at least one during this series.

Lately, I prefer spray paint because it is quick and being a mother of 4, I need quick projects. I have used chalk paint both homemade and Anne Sloan. I also use acrylic craft paint and good old leftover house paint on some of my projects. I use Minwax paste finish wax on almost every project from my bathroom cabinets to my simple little signs and have tried lots and lots of Poly finishes and waxes. I have painted fabric, glass and metal but prefer to paint anything that is made of wood.

Ok, that’s enough about me. Tell me about you. What kinds of things do you like to paint? What are you hoping to see during this series?
