31 Days of Paint #27 Quotes Painted on Furniture

Every time I walk into my favorite JUNK shop, I am astounded by the talented, creative ladies who work there. They have created these stunning, painted dressers. Seriously, I wanted to purchase ALL of them!

My absolute favorite is this one with the quote by Aubrey Hepburn. If this was vinyl lettering, it must have taken forever to remove each of these letters. I did that technique with my BE SWEET sign. It required a lot of patience and a razor blade.

I wanted to show you how they enlarged and painted these images so I searched the Internet for a tutorial and found The Purple Painted Lady's website, it has a ton of tips and tricks for furniture painting.  You can even purchase the supplies from her, if you wanted to. See her tutorial for painting this dresser using free clip art a projector HERE. I have a Tracer projector which doesn't require the transparency, so I am going to have to try this.

I also found this bench tutorial where Jaime used a Silhouette machine to create a stencil. Could be how the Aubrey Hepburn quote dresser was made. Crafty Scrappy Happy blog is new to me and full of great DIY and Paint projects for the home.
