I made this British Flag inspired art for my nephew, Kirby. He is 18 and collects flags from around the world, so I thought this would go...

I am entering the Copy Me Challenge at Funky Junk Interiors

Copy Me Challenge

I have been working on this all day! My husband thinks I have gone mad. As I was dragging the old rusty garden gate (that was partially buried under 6 inches of snow) into the dining room, he just stood there shaking his head. "What are you doing now?" He asked tentatively.

"I want to enter this challenge," I said, scrapping snow off bottom of gate and sweeping it into a dust pan.

With his help, I cleared a spot in our basement, the only room in our house with a white(ish) wall, (it's actually a very light blue). I formulated a plan. Since we are just going for style and not an exact copy of the designs at Funky Junk Interiors, I decided to use elements from this room:

Especially since I own that same gate and an old door. Easy peesy, right? Wrong! This is very hard! So far I've got this:

I need to accessorize and make it look more like this:

I am going to attempt to copy Miss Mustard Seed's designs too but taking one leap at a time. Their design styles varies so much, I cannot wait to see how they copy each other.

Where did she find those drapes??? OMG! I love them. This in really not my style. Things white in my house end up stained... I think my "copy" of her design will be closer to this one:

But we will see! I hope you stop by both of these ladies fantastic blogs and become a follower. We need to get them both up to 4000 to get the Copy Me Challenge Party started. Come back and see my progress, let me know what you think and if you would add or remove anything. Am I even close?? Your input means so much to me!
